Why Tyson Fury is snubbing brother Tommy Fury in Love Island villa

Tyson Fury has refused an invitation to appear in the Love Island villa to visit little brother Tommy Fury – despite fans clamouring for him to swing by.

The boxing champ won’t be part of the special upcoming episode where relatives and close friends go into the villa to surprise the reality stars, even after ITV2 bosses begged him to accept the invitation.

And the reason for his snub? Feeling that the most popular reality series of the summer wouldn’t fit his personal brand.

Tyson Fury won’t be going into the villa

“Producers had been trying to secure him for the past few months and he politely avoided answering,” a source told the Sun.

“But with family visits happening this week, Tyson had to tell them so they could make alternative plans.

“He felt it wouldn’t work with his profile.”

Tyson had also warned amateur boxer Tommy against going on the show, as the Mirror reported earlier this month.

The Gypsy King warned his baby bro it would ruin his fledgling boxing career if he got “carried away” in showbiz.

Tyson warned Tommy against going down the showbiz route

“I thought, he’s a good looking lad,” Tyson said. “He might get carried away being a TV reality star rather than a fighting man – and it’s the last thing he needs to do when he’s trying to become a professional fighter.

“I said, ‘Nah, it won’t be a good idea that, you’ll mess up what you’re doing in your career. You’re on a roll, keep with boxing.'”

And Tyson even said that while Tommy’s new girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague was welcome to come over for Christmas, he wouldn’t be speaking to her much.

“Sit her at the opposite end of the table,” he joked to The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan.

Meanwhile, Tommy and Molly-Mae still seem to be on track to pocket the £50,000 cash prize in next Monday’s Love Island final.

With the competition around them crumbling – Anna Vakili and Jordan Hames, and Chris Taylor and Harley Brash were sent packing in last night’s episode, while Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard seemed on the verge of splitting over their explosive argument – Tommy and Molly seem set to sail on through to the very final act.
