But the Tottenham goalkeeper’s career took a turn for the worse when he was charged with drink-driving earlier this year.

When was he charged with drink-driving?
Lloris was charged with drink-driving on August 24.
The 31-year-old failed a roadside breathalyser test when he was pulled over at 2.20am in Gloucester Place, London.
It was later revealed that he had vomit inside his £65,000 Porsche Panamera when he was caught.
He issued a grovelling apology to his family, fans and the club after the incident.

Lloris was fined £50,000 and banned from driving for 20 months after pleading guilty to being more than twice over the limit.
The father-of-two even offered to stand down as Spurs captain, but Mauricio Pochettino has told him to keep the armband.
