Love Island fans couldn’t believe their eyes when Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard locked lips after a heart-to-heart.
On last night’s show, the lads slinked off to the terrace for a private chat and poured their hearts out to each other.
Tommy told Curtis he was happy he’d found romance with Amy Hart, and Curtis said he was thrilled Tommy and Molly-Mae Hague had found each other.
But the boys also spoke of their joy at finding each other.
Tommy said he’d never met anyone like Curtis in his life, and he felt the same way.
The friends kissed on the lips before embracing in a hug.
But what did the show of affection really mean?
Here, body language expert and author Judi James shares her thoughts…
This show-stopping snog was sickly-sweet enough to cause a sugar rush in a nation of viewers, coming as it did at the end of one of the most contrived-looking moments of bromance-establishing between Curtis and Tommy.
A bromance equals fame and fortune on Love Island as in the past they have often been the most genuine-looking relationships on the show, plus the most long-lasting after the run has ended, meaning it couldn’t be too long before we started to see the faux Show-bro-mances forming in the villa.

Curtis and Tommy are clearly friends out there but this clunky conversation ending in a lip kiss did look a bit too performed to really convince.
It was Curtis instigating and choreographing this kiss, which might be a normal ritual in the world of the dance floor.
Tommy must be good at ducking and diving punches in the ring but with both ears clamped in Curtis’s headlock of love he seemed happy to submit to the hearty-looking snog.
They then followed up with a classic man-hug with chest closeness, tight arm hugging but no pelvic contact. So far there’s no official term on Love Island for this kind of official bromance coupling but with the other guys in the villa keen to compete with their own bromances it can only be a matter of time.
