Union boss threatening airport chaos has already enjoyed his sun-drenched summer holiday

A PILOTS’ union chief threatening to wreck Brits’ holiday plans has already enjoyed a sunshine break this year.

Well-travelled Brian Strutton posed with wife Sue during a beach jaunt in April in Valencia, Spain.

The pair were also seen on family Facebook page snaps — now taken down — at Rome’s Colosseum in 2017 and in Quiberon, France, in August, 2016.

Weeks earlier he became Balpa’s general secretary and now earns £141,000 a year.

The union represents 3,800 BA pilots, and Ryanair fliers, who are threatening strikes over pay in separate disputes.

It must give travellers two weeks’ notice by law before launching industrial action.

Furious Tory MP Ben Bradley said: “It’s fine for this union leader to cause chaos for others — he’s already enjoyed a sunshine break this year — but thousands of

families have their plans on hold. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.”

A Balpa spokesman said it was “doing everything we can” to avoid industrial action and none had yet been “set or planned” as talks continue.
