Trisha Goddard has confessed she signed up for this next series of Dancing on Ice while drunk.
The 61-year-old chat show host was unveiled as the latest contestant for the 2020 skating show on Good Morning Britain today.
During a candid conversation about the series, Trisha admitted she agreed to take part during a boozy meeting with one of the pro skaters.
Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, Trisha explained: “It’s a very funny story as to why I signed up.
“I was invited to soiree in New York and there was one American guy there, he said, ‘I was a pro on Dancing On Ice’ and I wanted to skill up.
“I roller blade, so I’m arranging that with him after a few bevvies, and I take a selfie with him saying ‘I’d do DOI with this guy!’
“The next morning I get a call asking me to do it, the hangover hadn’t even cleared.”
Trisha joins a host of other stars for Dancing on Ice in the New Year, including Maura Higgins and Michael Barrymore.
The TV star left GMB viewers stunned with her youthful looks as she walked out on set, revealing she is incredibly active on a daily basis.
She said: “I bike ride, I weight train, I learnt to ski at 37, how to roller blade at 42, and running at 42. And I’m 62 in December.”
The show’s hosts were left stunned and prompted her for her secret to looking so great for her age.
After a pause, she tentatively replied: “Chemotherapy. It has kept me alive and on this earth”.
The chat show queen changed her lifestyle in an effort to beat breast cancer after being diagnosed when she was 50.
She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2008.
In an interview to mark her 60th birthday, Trisha revealed she runs at least five miles a day, practises resistance-based workouts and had cut out meat and soya from her diet.
The mum of two lives in Connecticut after moving to America in 2010.
