CARTMEL

DOLLYS DESTINATION is a consistent performer in races like this and comes here after a win and two seconds in similar contests.

She won the last time she tackled this distance and is dropping back into novice level. See The Sea is still getting the hang of things over hurdles but showed promise on debut at Huntingdon and her Flat experience could be useful at this quirky track.

PROJECT BLUEBOOK came right back to his best when a close second in the Swinton Hurdle last time against slightly stronger opposition. He has cheekpieces on which could help him mid-race when he can hit a flat spot. He’s got enough quality to take this.

Magna Cartor has been in cracking form at lower levels and had a fair bit in hand when scoring at Southwell last time. There could be more to come.

THE JAM MAN landed a mighty gamble at Southwell on Monday when eased down to win. This race doesn’t look any stronger and a 7lb penalty shouldn’t put the brakes on.

Silver Man came back to form when second at Warwick last time and a slight rise in the weights gives him every chance.

3.40

RINGARINGAROSIE looked well ahead of the handicapper when winning at Hexham last time and a 6lb rise shouldn’t cause her too many issues. This trip suits well and she goes from the front which can pay dividends around here.

Oliver’s Gold has been second on his past five runs including here last time, by half a length. Anything like that form would put him right there again.

4.15

BEAU SANCY cruised to victory a Kelso last time and looks the type to improve as a chaser. He was back from five months off there so should be fitter too and this trip is ideal.

Lofgren has been keeping decent company and should find this a little easier than the race he was third in at Aintree last time out.

4.50

TOO MUCH TO ASK won here nicely on Friday and would be hard to beat if turned out quickly under this penalty. This longer distance shouldn’t be a problem.

Melody Of Scotland can’t be ruled out on her hat-trick bid. She has had lots in hand in landing two victories at Hexham.

5.25

JUDGE EARLE ran right away from his rivals when winning by 15 lengths at Newton Abbot last time out. He goes under a penalty today and still looks well ahead of the handicapper.

Nemean Lion was a solid third at Stratford last time and saves his best for this distance.
