This Morning’s opening credits featured a huge shake-up on Thursday, with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield removed from the titles.

The revamp occurred as the show and its hosts headed to Downton Abbey for the day to promote the new film.

Holly and Phil, and This Morning regulars including Alison Hammond, Rochelle Humes and Maura Higgins, filmed the show from Highclere Castle in Hampshire where the series and the movie was based.

To celebrate the Downton Abbey movie release, the normal credits were replaced with ones to match the theme, with even the intro music changed to match the familiar Downton tune.

As a lady walks around the castle, the rooms are filled with This Morning memorabilia including a BAFTA award, a photo of the hosts and even the familiar cushions.

Each item is placed aside items from the castle, while the famous This Morning sofa was placed outside on the land.

As the credits came to an end, the usual logo was updated to read: “This Morning at Downton Abbey.”

Holly and Phillip dressed up for the occasion

Holly and Phil were presenting the show with their guests from outside the castle despite the breeze.

Both hosts had dressed up for the occasion, with Phil in a smart grey checked outfit with a matching blazer, waistcoat and trouser comibination.

Holly went for a mid-length cream and red printed frock with a map design, while she clipped her blonde hair back on one side.

The show will return to normal on Friday, with the usual credits rolling at the start.

This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
