Eamonn Holmes nearly turned the air blue when he made a crude joke live on This Morning on Friday.
The TV presenter, 59, and his wife Ruth Langsford were introducing what was coming up on the ITV chat show when they played James Blunt’s song You’re Beautiful.
He told Ruth that she was beautiful and after she was left blushing he joked that he was in for a good time tonight.
Eamonn said: “It is true you are beautiful, I said play that one for my Ruth. I did darling.”
He then turned to agony aunt Deidre Sanders, saying: “That’s good advice, I give you good advice on that one yeah.”
Ruth looked bashful and thanked him for the compliment.
Eamonn continued: “It’ll be Friday fun night after that, yeah?”
“Friday fun night yeah” Ruth giggled.
The couple, who have been married for nine years, often flirt live on air when they present together on Fridays.
Back in August they made a very saucy joke about their sex life when they had Love Island’s Ovie Soko in for a cooking segment.
When Ovie revealed he was cooking some “cheeky toast”, Ruth asked her husband why she never got any in the morning.
On why he didn’t give her “cheeky toast”, naughty Eamonn replied: “I’m looking for that before you say I want my breakfast.”
Eamonn added: “I say ‘any chance of some cheeky toast?’ She goes ‘no I’m starving I want my breakfast’.”
Ovie couldn’t stop laughing while giggling Ruth put her head in her hands in shock.
The moment was made even more awkward because Eamonn and Ruth’s son Jack was watching from across the studio.
