Sky has unleashed a new deal on one of its most comprehensive bundles which offers a £234 discount compared to the typical cost. The deal includes a next-generation Sky Q box, which boasts support for 4K Ultra HD broadcasts and High Dynamic Range (HDR) picture quality, as well as Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, dozens of exclusive Sky TV channels, and the Sky Go add-on to stream from your tablet, or smartphone.
With millions of us spending more time indoors than expected this year, it seems like a pretty good time to upgrade the number of channels, Hollywood blockbusters, documentaries, live sport fixtures, and on-demand boxsets at our disposal, right?
Known as the Complete Sports & Movies bundle, this telly-boosting package usually costs £59. However, Sky is currently offering new customers the ability to sign-up to a new 18-month contract for £46 a month. That’s a saving of £234 over the course of the contract.
However, it’s worth noting this bundle doesn’t include a Netflix subscription (that’s an extra £4 a month) or access to BT Sport (£22 a month), so you might have to add a few optional extras to your contract at checkout if you want the ultimate telly package.
If you’re thinking of switching from an older Sky+HD box, there are a number of improvements with the new Sky Q kit. First off, the Sky Q box can record more shows simultaneously than previous Sky kit – up to six at the same time, while still allowing you to watch another live.

All Sky TV customers can get 25% off their bill thanks to this deal
While there are some astounding shows available on Sky right now, we’re not sure we’ve ever had seven of them airing in exactly the same time-slot, but nevertheless it’s nice to have the option there should that situation arise (when fighting over the remote at Christmas, perhaps).
Sky Q also boasts voice control support, so you can ask the remote to switch to a channel, search for a show on-demand, or suggest movies from a particular director, or TV episodes with a particular actor. Sky also allows you to find films using well-known quotes – so you can shout “show me the money!” at your remote control to tune into Jerry Maguire.
As part of the latest Sky TV deal, there is a one-off £20 set-up fee you’ll need to pay to get the kit fitted to your home. Even if you’re an existing Sky+HD customer, you’ll need to get the engineers around to set-up Sky Q as it’s an entirely new system.
