‘It’s definitely a legality’: The Voice’s Guy Sebastian accuses Delta Goodrem of CHEATING as she urges Janie Gordon and Matt Evans to go through as a duet – after using up her saves

Earlier this month, The Voice’s Guy Sebastian was accused of cheating on the show.

And on Sunday’s episode, the Battle Scars singer took a playful aim at fellow coach Delta Goodrem.

The 38-year-old said it’s ‘definitely a legality’ when Delta urged her team Janie Gordon and Matt Evans to progress as a duet in the battles, after using up her saves.

After watching Janie and Matt perform Taylor Swift’s Lover on stage, Delta announced that that there was ‘no way to decipher’ which to choose of the two.

The 35-year-old approached a producer, to see whether she could suggest the idea of allowing the singers to progress to the playoffs as a duet.

‘I would take them both through [as a duet] but that is purely both of your call,’ the songstress directed at Janie and Matt from her chair.

Guy remarked that it’s a ‘big decision’ for them to make, when they never set out to perform as a duet on the show.

‘That’s a big decision, when that’s not on your radar and you’re hit with that. That’s big,’ he explained.

Luckily for Delta, Janie and Matt decided to compete as a duet in the series.

Fellow coach Boy George asked with a laugh whether ‘there are any rules on this show ever?’

‘No rules this year!’ coach Kelly Rowland chimed in, while Guy playfully took aim at Delta, saying: ‘I thought you said you weren’t cheating though.’

The comment was purely in jest, with the pair sharing a laugh in their chairs.

Earlier this month, Guy was blasted by viewers for turning his chair for a contestant during the blind auditions despite already having a full team.

Guy and Kelly got into a fiery spat on air, with a producer forced to intervene.

The Voice continues Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
