Kathryn was later joined by co-star Gideon Adlon, 23, who marveled at the immense love the now canceled show was receiving online.

‘Definitely a bit of a gut-punch, but, you know, our creator told us today that the show is there. You can watch it all the time. It’s not going away and we’re not going away,’ explained Adlon to the devout fans watching.

‘[Love] you always. I could not have achieved this without you and @seanberdy,’ captioned the actress, who also shared a video from one of their sessions with her nearly 400,000 followers.

Alex Fitzalan, 24, who portrayed the role of Harry Bingham on the critically-acclaimed series, was at a loss for words as he took to Instagram to remark on The Society’s untimely cancellation.

Along with his brief caption, Fitzalan included various behind-the-scenes photos of himself and his castmates taken during the fun-filled filming of season one.

Many of the photos included Adlon, actors Jack Mulhern, Spencer House, and more as they hung out on set, toured filming locations, and transformed into their memorable characters/

Netflix had already renewed The Society for a second season last year, just a few months after its successful May 2019 premiere.

But sources revealed to Deadline that there were a multitude of issues at play regarding The Society’s second season, that, eventually, inspired the studio to abandon the project all together.

Allegedly, there was ‘uncertainty around production dates and balancing the availabilities of a large cast like The Society’ and there were also ‘unexpected budget increases due to COVID.’
