The Chase contestant leaves viewers distracted over his celebrity lookalike

The Chase fans were left in a state of confusion over a contestant’s looks in the latest episode as they struggled to figure out who his celebrity lookalike was.

Super fans of the show, which is hosted by Bradley Walsh, took to Twitter in a bid to compare thoughts and figure out exactly who he looked like during the episode.

Retired chemistry teacher Mike from Rochdale, 64, was compared to Anton Du Beke’s dad and late TV presenter Bruce Forsyth by viewers of the hit ITV show.

He was also referred to as former Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman, and also, bizarrely, comedian Jon Bishop.

Mike was up against the Chaser Anne Hegerty, 61, as he battled against the quizzer to win the cash prize.

Taking to the social media site, viewers exchanged their views on who Mike looked like the most.

One wrote: “Bloody hell, didn’t know Bruce Forsyth had a brother #thechase “.

Bradley told the team they played well as they lost out to Anne Hegerty

Another penned: ” #TheChase Anton du Beke’s dad?”

Meanwhile, a third shared: “Why’s Len Goodman on The Chase?”.

One more fan also quipped: “Mike’s a man of many faces….. #thechase “.

Mike got off to a good start as he bagged £6,000 in the cash builder.

One fan said he is a man of ‘many faces’

He went head-to-head with Anne and played well for the team, but later got caught by the Chaser with his team Andy and Julia.

The three players were caught with just eight seconds remaining, and gutted Andy said: “We were caught by a great Chaser.”

Bradley told the team: “Well, I thought you played really well. I hope you’ve enjoyed your day though.”

Anne said: “That was a very, very good target – and I only got it with eight seconds to go. It shows how close you got.

“So bad luck guys, but you did play very, very well indeed.”
