The Bachelor’s Sam Wood looks almost unrecognisable after weeks of lockdown in Melbourne as he sports long grey hair

Like many people stuck in Melbourne strict COVID-19 lockdown, Sam Wood has been sporting a very relaxed new look in recent weeks

And fans would be forgiven for failing to recognise the former Bachelor star, 40, when he surfaced looking very different on his step-daughter Eve’s Instagram Story on Sunday.

The personal trainer, whose Adonis-like physique and well-manicured hairstyle sent hearts aflutter on The Bachelor, sported long grey-streaked hair as he hunched over his phone on the couch.

Sam’s shaggy ‘do was complimented by a rugged beard and moustache.

Sam is currently self-isolating in his Melbourne home with wife Snezana Markoski, 39, and their three daughters: Charlie, one, Willow, two, and 14-year-old Eve – Snezana’s daughter from a previous relationship.

Last month, fitness expert Sam revealed to FEMAIL how people who have gained weight in self-isolation can easily achieve their pre-lockdown figure.

‘Moving your body in some way every day is most important,’ Sam explained.

‘It doesn’t matter how and when – but it is good to mix it up, rather than doing the same workout each day,’ he advised.

As for dietary changes, Sam recommended starting the day with a ‘kickstarter smoothie’ comprised of almond milk, a coffee shot, banana, rolled oats, chia seeds and vanilla protein powder.

For lunch, he recommended chicken caesar salad with sourdough bread, and for dinner, pan-fried salmon with sweetcorn and avocado salsa.

Lastly, Sam said he loves to take supplements, explaining: ‘At the moment, for me it’s all about good quality protein powder after a workout or in my morning smoothie.’

‘With immunity being top of mind at this time of year, I also take vitamin C every morning as a helping hand.
