Karren Brady almost chokes on a disgusting ice lolly during tonight’s The Apprentice.
Lord Sugar tasks the candidates with creating two original ice lollies – one to pitch to a corporate client and the other to sell to the general public.
His aide follows the girls around as they head to a high end ice lolly company to choose flavours to sell to the public.
Karren does not look impressed when Lubna Farhan suggests combining cherry cola with cream cheese and call it “cheesy cola”.
Her teammates feel the idea will go down like a lead balloon – and Karren does not look impressed at all.
Things don’t get much better later on when they all team up to make their bespoke lolly for a corporate client.
Lottie Lion attempts to add a touch of class to the frozen treats by adding sprigs of rosemary.
Jemelin Artigas is angry that they are spending too much time on “flowers”.
Hitting back, Lottie explains: “It’s a gourmet product and they are paying £3.50 per unit. If it doesn’t look perfect we’re not going to get that money.”
Jemelin eventually confronts Lottie and insists that she is not listening to anyone’s advice.
Speaking to camera, Jemelin says: “I find working with Lottie extremely difficult. It’s a gourmet lolly but if the flower goes in the middle it’s going to move straight away. Lottie was like ‘no it’s a gourmet lolly’ and I find that really difficult.”
The moment of truth finally arrives but the girls manage to break some of their lollies when getting them out of the moulds.
Lottie notices that some have leaves sticking out and asks for some scissors to make them look neater.
Unimpressed Karren says: “They stuffed so much ingredients, rosemary, edible flowers. I tried it and a big lump of rosemary got stuck in my mouth. It was like eating a garden.”
