The 5 cars most/least likely to get you laid… and it’s bad news if you drive a Vauxhall or a Mini

THERE are many factors that may affect your purchasing decision when it comes to buying a new car. Insurance, fuel efficiency, comfort to name but a few.

However, if you’re single, there is only one thing you should be concentrating on and that’s the car’s sex appeal.

It can be hard to choose a car that is attractive to the opposite sex, but confused.com has done the hard work for you.

They created some fake Tinder accounts (using the same guy) posing next to a wide variety of cars and they found out how many matches he got out of 1,000 girls.

The results make for rather interesting reading.

We’ll start off with the five cars MOST likely to get you laid.

1. Audi A4 – 129 out of 1,000 matches

AUDI AG

Coming in at number one is the Audi A4. It may not be the sexiest car in the world, but it shows the girls on Tinder that you’re moving up in the world.

It shows you’re smart and take yourself seriously. It also proves that girls love a bad boy as Audi A4 drivers are often found three inches behind you in the fast lane of the motorway.

2. Renault Clio – 110 out of 1,000 matches

A bit of Va Va Voom makes it into 2nd place

In second place we have a bit of Va Va Voom. I always wondered if the ladies loved a bit of French pizzazz as much as I do. Turns out they love it. Owning a Clio shows you have style and that you’re a little bit different.

Most of all, it shows that you’re as cool as Thierry Henry.

3. Ford Fiesta – 103 out of 1,000 matches

Ford fans having a proper Fiesta in 3rd place

One of the most popular cars in Britain today and for good reason. Not only is it fantastic to drive, has great fuel economy and is pretty stylish, we now have confirmation that it has a 1 in 10 swipe right rate on Tinder.

This is a significant improvement on my current pictures.

4. Fiat Punto – 86 out of 1,000 matches

Fiat drivers won’t be Punto’d out of bed

Where would this list be without a bit of Italian style. No, it’s not a Ferrari, but the Fiat Punto obviously gets the attention of the ladies.

The Italians love a small car, but it has that cheeky nod as if to say, ‘It’s not the size, it’s how you use it.’

5. Honda Civic – 83 out of 1,000 matches

Civic fanboys rejoice!

All you Honda fanboys rejoice. Apparently, the Civic is attractive to the opposite sex.

Just to make it clear, this is the more recent model and not the 1997 Civic EK9 you’ve modified beyond all recognition.

OK, now on the cars LEAST likely to get you laid.

1. Vauxhall Corsa 35 out of 1,000 matches

Not great news for Corsa owners

If you really want to remain single for the rest of your life, then the Vauxhall Corsa is the one to buy.

Somehow the ladies aren’t turned on by a really good financial package or 0% APR. Who knew?

2. Mini Cooper – 38 out of 1,000 matches

Unfortunately for Mini drivers, size does matter.

The second least sexy car is the Mini Cooper. If you get the original proper Mini, I guarantee that it would feature near the other end of the scale.

3. SEAT Ibiza – 39 out of 1,000 matches

Not much of a party in this Ibiza

Unfortunately, the SEAT Ibiza isn’t quite as much of a party as its namesake. Maybe they should re-badge it the SEAT Bognor Regis to make it more realistic.

4. Renault Megane – 45 out of 1,000 matches

It’s a Re-no from the ladies

Weirdly the Megane has the opposite effect that its baby brother, the Clio, does on women.

Yet more proof that size doesn’t matter.

5. Ford Focus – 45 out of 1,000 matches

Your love life will need more Focus if you own one of these

One of the most popular cars in the UK is also one of the least attractive to the ladies. I can’t really put my finger on why this is the case as, once again, the baby version, the Fiesta, does pretty well.

Does your car feature on the list? Has this affected your purchasing decisions?
