Strictly Come Dancing hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s outfit choices came under fire on Saturday night.
Claudia, 47, decided on a gold number that featured a plunging neckline and added more sparkle with large hooped ear rings and Tess, 50, showcased her lithe physique in silver number that had a sexy cut-out detail across the chest.
The duo, deciding to slip into shiny dresses for the second episode of the 2019 series, were slated on Twitter for their ensembles that viewers thought resembled “bacofoil.”
Proving viewers were not keen on the sparkling material that the garments were crafted out of, a number mocked how closely they resembled kitchen foil.
Another posted an image of kitchen foil and penned: “Claudia and Tess #Strictly .”
Others added: “Tess is wearing a tin foil dress classy girl ha ha #strictlycomedancing2019 #Strictly2019 #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing ,” and “Why are Tess & Claudia wearing tin foil? #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing .”
A viewer thought the pair looked ready for Christmas, as they offerd: “tess n claude looking like glorified tinsel tonight #Strictly.”
Others mocked: “Tess and Claudias outfits sponsored by Bacofoil this week #scd #strictly #strictlycomedancin ,” and “Claudia & Tess looking lovely in bacofoil dresses #Strictly #Strictly2019 #Strictlycomedancing #strictlycomedancing2019 .”
At the start of the show Tess was forced to apologise because of “transmission difficulties”.
At the beginning of the live show, viewers were left incredibly frustrated as they struggled to watch the programme.
The programme stuttered and went off air before returning back to screens.
