KATIE Price has been begging for a role in panto this year and wants to be paid £1 million for doing it.

The 41-year-old is currently facing bankruptcy once again and thinks a turn on the stage is what she needs to get back on her feet.

A source told The Sun Online: “She’s been telling her team and even pal Rylan (Clark) to land her a role in a panto.

“She knows they can be big money for soap stars and celebs, and thinks she could land a £1m fee. She says she’s got the voice and loads of people would pay to see her be Cinderella.

“The problem is, she’s got a reputation as being flaky and she’s not exactly a squeaky clean family friendly name anymore after the arrests and the drugs she’s admitted taking. She’s gutted she hasn’t landed a role this year.”

The mum-of-five previously appeared on stage as the Wicked Fairy in Sleeping Beauty back in 2015.

She feels more than confident when it comes to performing and she’s made various attempts to make it as a singer over the years.

Doing panto can pay the big bucks, but no one has knowingly made anything near £1 million for it.

For example, Shane Ritchie made £120k for playing Robin Hood in 2017, while soap legend Adam Woodyatt is thought to earn £130k.

Last month, The Sun Online revealed that Katie faces going bankrupt before Christmas as she failed to pay back her spiralling debts.

The star was supposed to be paying off £12,000 a month to her creditors but hasn’t done so.

A bankruptcy charge was laid on her mucky mansion and a judge ordered her to be served with a draft petition notice within seven days.

She will have to return to the Insolvency and Companies Court next month on November 27 to learn whether she will be made bankrupt.

The Sun Online has contacted Katie’s rep for comment.
