Samuel Johnson admits stripping off for The All New Monty: Guys and Gals was ‘the WORST experience of his professional life’

Samuel Johnson has referred to his upcoming gig on The All New Monty: Guys and Gals as ‘the worst experience of his professional life.’

However, the Logie award-winning actor admitted that he was willing to do ‘anything’ to raise money and awareness for prostate and breast cancer – even if that meant stripping naked.

Speaking to the Herald Sun, the 42-year-old explained he mainly agreed to take part in the charity special in honour of his beloved sister Connie who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2017.

He said: ‘It’s about cancer and as my sister used to say, “Sam, this is bigger than you”.

‘Anything for the cause. Whether it’s a unicycle up my bum for a year or taking my kit off on the All New Monty, I’ve shown over the years that I’ll stop at nothing.’

Samuel has also set up the Love Your Sister charity in tribute to his late sibling.

The TV star has also adamant about helping other men talk about their battles with mental health.

‘Talking helps and the more you talk, the more you can work up strategies. Everyone is different, and the no. 1 thing is that we talk about our struggles because we all know what happens when we bottle them up,’ he said.

The exciting promo sees the cast enjoying a road trip together and struggling to learn some dance moves – before the men are hilariously forced to get a painful wax.

The upcoming special is billed as a ‘hair-raising journey across the nation, as they see Australia – and Australia gets to see all of them’.

Sam then cheekily tells the camera: ‘I’m pretty sure everyone’s more excited to see Patti’s boobs than mine!’

The All New Monty: Guys and Gals is a continuation of Seven’s previous hits, The Real Full Monty and The All New Monty: Ladies Night.

Hosts Shane Jacobson, Todd McKenney and Georgie Parker have this time brought together male and female celebrities for one massive night of entertainment.

The events are designed to raise awareness for regular health checkups, including those for breast cancer, as well as prostate and testicular cancer.

The All New Monty: Guys & Gals premieres in September on Channel 7.
