WWE superstar Roman Reigns revealed he also didn’t like the ending to the main event of Hell in a Cell.
Universal Champion Seth Rollins put his title on the line against Bray Wyatt in a Hell in a Cell bout which ended in a match stoppage.
Rollins bashed Wyatt on the head with various foreign objects and the referee called for the bell after The Beastslayer whacked The Fiend’s scull with a sledgehammer.
The ending left the fans baffled and furious as the Hell in a Cell Match has no disqualifications and is considered as one of the most violent fights in professional wrestling history.
A chorus of boos could then be heard all around the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California and many other fans took to social media to lash out at the controversial finish.
Reigns admits he didn’t like the way the main event ended either but strongly disagrees with the crowd’s reaction as he insists both competitors deserve respect after putting their bodies on the line.
Wyatt especially endured a lot of punishment inside the cell as he was hit in the head with a steel chair, a toolbox and a sledgehammer.
Reigns told Forbes: “I think you should express your opinions, but it doesn’t hurt anybody if you have a shred of respect.
“Have a little respect for the performers who were out there killing themselves for you.
“I didn’t like the Hell in a Cell finish either, but I wasn’t about to cuss some guys out who got hit in the head over and over.
“Bray Wyatt put his health on the line to entertain some fans to the best of his ability.
“I didn’t like it, but I respect Bray’s effort and willingness to go out there and do what you have to do.
“So, if you can, just a little bit of respect.”
Reigns was also in action at Hell in a Cell as he teamed up with Daniel Bryan and defeated Luke Harper as well as Erick Rowan.
