Oporto giving away 10,000 free Bondi burgers for DoorDash customers

Sydneysiders, this is not a drill.

America’s biggest food-delivery app, DoorDash, launches in Sydney today after entering the Australian market in Melbourne in September.

The service currently works with 310,000 restaurants in more than 4000 cities across the US, Canada and, now, Australia, but its Sydney launch will be the company’s biggest so far.

And to celebrate, they’re offering 10,000 free Oporto burgers – with free delivery – to Sydney residents from 10am today.

The Aussie fast-food chain, known for their famous Portuguese-style chicken, will be giving away their signature Bondi burgers with original chilli sauce, crisp lettuce, cheese and creamy mayo.

“We are excited to partner with DoorDash and bring our famous flame-grilled chicken to market with them in NSW,” Oporto CEO Craig Tozer said in a statement.

“DoorDash’s goal of providing customers with the best possible delivery experience, from both a quality and selection perspective, has made them an excellent partner.”

Using the code OPORTODASH, the offer expires either when 10,000 burgers have been given away or when it hits 10pm this Sunday, November 17.

Across both Sydney and Melbourne, DoorDash now reaches more than 40 per cent of Australians nationwide.
