Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw revealed he has delayed his return to his Live Lounge show as he and his boyfriend Meshach Henry have been forced to quarantine for 14 days following a three-week break from work which saw them travel to Paris.

The DJ, 36, who was due to return to the BBC studios on Monday, took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal he discovered his beau, 23, has to self-isolate for two weeks and has followed his lead as they live together in north London.

The broadcaster didn’t confirm whether the model had tested positive for COVID-19, but he had enjoyed a night out with chef Andi Oliver and First Dates’ Fred Sirieix at a Clapton restaurant on Saturday – sparking fears he could have put them at risk.

Presenter Jordan North took over the radio star’s shows as he visited Paris with his partner, and Devin Griffin has stepped in for him this week.

The couple are believed to have returned just days before France was added to the UK’s quarantine list in a savage blow to tens of thousands of British holidaymakers earlier this month.

Alongside a video of Cardi B, the media personality wrote: ‘Sooooooo…this morning Mesh found out that he has to self isolate for the next 14 days and as I live with him, cos I really like him, so do I. Obviously livid.

‘So gutted but rules are rules and CBA starting a second spike in the Live Lounge. Both feel totally fine right now and have no symptoms.
