She’s been busy looking after her three children as well as presenting her radio show throughout the coronavirus lockdown.
And Myleene Klass, 42, has spoken candidly about this time being a ‘rollercoaster of emotion’ as she promises to keep up family time as restrictions are lifted.
The star has joined the McCain Family Pledge saying that although there have been struggles, she has ’embraced being at home more with the girls, Apollo, and Simon.’
Making a pledge: Myleene Klass, 42, has said she will ‘ensure we keep precious time together as a family going’ after lockdown as part of a new campaign with McCain
In a short video the singer recites a poem which brings to life heart-warming pledges being made by families across the UK as they come out lockdown.
Myleene chatted about what families will ‘take to the other side’, things such as meal times together and laughter and also gives a nod to Joe Wick’s PE classes.
The brunette beauty also spoke about her own families experience, admitting that it hasn’t all been easy but that her family have enjoyed being together.
She said: ‘As our fantastic front-line workers have worked to keep us safe and the country running during lockdown, the experience has been quite different for those families at home.
Made it through: The mother-of-three spoke candidly about her time in lockdown, admitting that ‘the whole experience has been a rollercoaster of emotions’
‘Whilst the whole experience has been a rollercoaster of emotions, I, like many other parents, will be trying to take something positive out of the experience.
‘And while there is no doubt that we have all struggled at various points over the weeks, I’ve embraced being at home more with the girls, Apollo, and Simon.
‘We will be continuing to ensure we keep our precious time together as a family going, whether cooking together, sitting round the table or just walking the baby around the garden. As long as we’re together.’
Myleene added: ‘Working with McCain on My Family Pledge, I have been able to reflect on both my experience and those of other families across the UK, brought to life in the Nation’s Conversation research.
Adorable: Myleene has been looking after her three children, including son Apollo, during the lockdown as well as presenting her radio show
Keeping it up: The presenter said she and beau Simon Motson, 35 (pictured with their son Apollo) would ensure family time kept on being a priority after lockdown ends
‘It has definitely moved me to see what families across the nation have enjoyed about lockdown – the slower pace of life, and how quality family-time, especially at mealtimes, has become so important for many.’
New research released by McCain shows that a fifth of parents believe lockdown has been beneficial for their kids due to the extra ‘family time’ it has given them
A study of 1,000 mums and dads with children living at home found more than a third are now re-thinking their entire routines.
As a result, 78 per cent have pledged to retain some aspect of their current regime even when restrictions are lifted.
While the study, commissioned by McCain as part of its Nation’s Conversations campaign, found 48 per cent have seen the amount of exercise they do as a family change – increasing to an average of four times from three.
The research also 27 per cent of parents said their offspring has enjoyed baking and cooking as a family and 42 per cent are not missing the daily commute.
A further 37 per cent would like to continue eating more meals together following lockdown, with almost one in four families pledging to cook a weekly roast dinner.
And 30 per cent have enjoyed having more meaningful conversations at mealtimes.
Exhausted: The mum of three recently revealed in a video that she was exhausted as no one in her family has been able to sleep in the scorching temperatures
The pledge comes after Myleene revealed she has been suffering sleepless nights due to the UK’s heatwave.
On Friday, Myleene shared an update on Instagram Stories as she celebrated having the luxury of an air conditioned workplace during the hot weather.
The mum of three said in a video that she was exhausted as no one in her family has been able to sleep in the scorching temperatures.
Myleene recently revealed she would like to have another baby and hopes to marry her beau, 45, in 2021, after they welcomed their baby boy Apollo, ten months.
She has two daughters, Ava, 12, and Hero, nine, from her previous marriage, while Simon has a son and daughter the same age as Myleene’s girls with his ex-wife.
Future: Myleene has said she would consider having another baby with Simon and she would like to get married in 2021 (pictured together)
