Mums have been obsessing over the purse-friendly paint on the American Facebook page I Need This In My Life.

According to the product description, the special effect paint gives a “durable and long-lasting glitter effect finish on a range of surfaces”.

And where some mums have built up layers of the paint to get a statement sparkly wall in their homes, others have applied it over a grey base coat.

Sharing a photo of her own sparkly paint feature, one mum replied: “[It] has to have a base coat for sure – I did my ceiling fan.”

Blown away with the sparkly results, one mum replied: “Looks fabulous, trying to work out where I can put mine!”

Another gushed: “I need the gold and purple! Sooo pretty.”

Meanwhile, a third mum replied: “We’re painting my daughter’s whole room in glitter paint… I would do the whole house but I feel like that’s a little too extra.”

For more home interior hacks, this mum made an incredible heart-shaped Christmas wreath using Poundland and Home Bargains buys.

And this thrifty mum saved money on wallpaper by creating a pattern on her walls using a SPONGE – and people are going wild for it.

Plus this mum transformed her home using free wallpaper samples – and people have labelled her an interior design “inspiration”.
