Michael Mosley discussed the three stages of fasting after the popularity of his programme. He encourages following the keto diet, and these three specific stages.

Why it works

Michael explains: “People tend to eat the wrong foods because it feels good to do so. When you bite down into a muffin or dive into a packet of crisps, you are responding to carefully-designed cues, put in place by food manufacturers, to use food as a defence not just against hunger, but against stress. 

“The Mediterranean-style diet tackles this problem at its root.

“Based on the diet that has been enjoyed for centuries by people living in and around Southern Europe, it avoids processed foods, is free from added sugar and refined carbohydrates, and instead uses ingredients that have been scientifically proven to make you feel good.”

Adele’s weight loss has shocked and impressed fans.

It is said the Sirtfood diet and exercise routine helped the singer lose 7st. 

The diet has only been recently discovered but has proved popular amongst Britons and it involves eating foods that activate the body’s skinny genes, also known as sirtuins.

It is famous for allowing red wine and chocolate on the diet and it is split into different phases that dieters must follow in order to see results.
