A MEMBER of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s backroom team was rushed to hospital after being taken ill overnight while on tour of Australia.
Manchester United are currently in Perth as they continue their pre-season preparations Down Under.
However, the Red Devils have suffered a scare after one of their manager’s lieutenants required medical assistance.
The club confirmed the news for Australia this morning.
A statement read: “A member of our backroom staff was taken ill overnight and has been sent to hospital by our club doctor for further treatment.”
“We request that medical confidentiality is respected.”
United face Perth Glory tomorrow in their first game of the tour before battling old foes Leeds in the same city on Wednesday.
Solskjaer and his squad then travel to Singapore where they will take on Inter Milan in eight days.
