Madonna declared herself the ‘Captain of Sunday’ in a new Instagram selfie where she shared her new kimono.

The 62-year-old pop diva shared the new selfie on Sunday afternoon, while thanking Japanese choreographer Sohey Sugihara for the kimono.

The post came just a days after she shared a video of her with screenwriter Diablo Cody, after it was revealed that they’re both working on a movie screenplay together.

‘Captain of Sunday…………thank you @soheyheyhey for my beautiful kimono,’ she said, adding the kimono emoji.

The singer had her blond locks draped over both shoulders in two long braids, while she wore a black, lacy ‘captain’s hat’ on her head.

The kimono she was gifted from Sugihara, who has danced for the singer on her Rebel Heart Tour and performed on her God Control music video.

The pop icon is also coming off her 62nd birthday bash in Jamaica, where she celebrated with her daughter Lourdes and her 26-year-old boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams.

Other celebs who flew into Jamaica for the bash included Diplo, who was seen in one of the numerous videos Madonna posted to her Instagram page.

Now that she’s back home, she’s also getting back to work with screenwriter Diablo Cody on a mystery movie project.

Madonna shared a video from her home in early August, showing her collaborating with the writer, whose credits include Juno, Young Adult, Jennifer’s Body and Tully.

Madonna shared another video with her and Cody working and drinking wine together a few days later with the latest video tease posted on Friday.

Madonna has written for the big screen before, writing and directing 2008’s Filth and Wisdom and 2011’s W.E.

Cody has an untitled TV project set up at HBO where David Spade stars as a once semi-famous musician who’s life changes when he meets a waitress aspiring to become an actress.
