Former Love Island star Yewande Biala has further hinted that Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard might not be the real deal.

The unexpected couple have been hit with ‘showmance’ rumours since they got together following Amy Hart’s departure, with many claiming they are unconvinced by their attraction.

And now Yewande has added fuel to the fire, telling Goss.ie that the pair never even liked each other as friends, let alone anything more.

“With Curtis and Maura, I just don’t really see it,” she said.

“I was there from the start and I didn’t even really see them even as friends.”

After leaving the show, Lucie Donlan assured suspicious members of the public that Maura had opened up about her feelings for Curtis from the beginning.

However, Yewande said she’d heard no such confession from Maura as she cast doubt whether her feelings were as real as she claimed.

“She said she said it to Lucie but she never mentioned it to anyone else so everyone was shocked,” she added. “I don’t even see them [working]. Its just shocking really.”

Yewande has not been shy to wade in on her former co-stars’ antics since leaving the villa.

She also made no secret of her feelings of disdain towards her ex beau Danny Williams on Tuesday as she hinting she had eyes for new boy Ovie Soko.

Taking to Twitter , Yewande re-shared a funny meme before expressing her disappointment that the basketball pro wasn’t sent in to snap her up back when she was an islander.

The meme read: “They couldn’t bring Ovie a nice Black woman nah? #loveisland”.

And Yewande seemed to think she was the woman for the job, writing: “See when I was crying over a useless somebody I dunno why they didn’t send him… kmt (sic)”.
