Love Island's cruelest dumping yet sends shockwaves through villa days before final

The Love Island couples are set to be brought down to earth with a nasty bump tonight following their romantic final dates.

One pair will be axed from the show just days before the live grand final in the cruelest dumping yet.

In Thursday night’s episode Molly Mae Hague and Tommy Fury return to the villa to fill their fellow islanders in on their dinner date and dance.

But an incoming text is set to spoil the mood for good.

Maura and Curtis’ days could be numbered

Tommy and Molly Mae don’t want to leave

Belle gets a message to her phone that reveals how the next couple will be given the boot.

Each pair must secretly vote for one couple that they think should be dumped from the Island.

The gang then split off to decide who they think needs to go and their reason why before submitting the decision by text.

Ovie and India have words

Amber and Greg have an important decision to make

The couples with the most votes then risk being dumped from the Island.

So will it be Molly Mae and Tommy who are given the chop? Or their co-stars Amber and Greg, Ovie and India, Belle and Anton or Maura and Curtis.

And will the couples vote tactfully and send their biggest competition packing? Or will they instead vote off who they truly think is the least deserving of the prize.

On Monday Caroline Flack will head to the villa for the final time this year to announce the winner’s of series five and confirm who the public has chosen to take home the £50k prize pot.

This week the couples were given their last chance to impress each other – and the public when they were whisked away on romantic dates to declare their feelings.

Anton and Belle were given the most expensive date of the series so far when they treated to a private helicopter ride.

In previous series the couple who producers splashed the most cash on usually went on to win the show.

But will that be the case this year?

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm
