Alumni from Love Island’s 2018 series have formed a super group to appear on Celebrity X Factor .
There had been rumours floating that Wes Nelson , Eyal Booker, Samira Mighty and Zara McDermott were putting together their own band to perform on the new rebooted series and now it appears to have been ‘confirmed’.
According to fellow alum Georgia Steel it’s definitely happening, with the foursome already in Los Angeles filming for the show at Simon Cowell’s mansion.
Georgia, who appeared in the same series as the foursome, explained that X Factor bosses held auditions for former islanders and they were the strongest competitors.
Speaking to the Daily Star , Georgia revealed how the group came about: “I think they looked at Love Island and had auditions for a few people. They got picked because they have the best voices.”
Georgia said that she didn’t audition because she “can’t sing” otherwise she would have loved to do it.
The outspoken reality star, who dated Sam Bird in the villa and has since appeared on Celebs Go Dating, said she would be backing her BFF Zara.
“I am not just saying this but Zara has got the most beautiful voice – probably one of the most beautiful voices I ever heard.”
She added that Wes – who appeared on Dancing on Ice – proved to be very theatrical, with Eyal and Samira both already having experience in a boyband and on the West End repsectively.
X Factor bosses are keeping their lips firmly sealed on which famous faces will appear on the singing competition and have yet to confirm any of the line-up ahead of the series starting.
The Love Island foursome already have one solid fan who’ll be supporting them all the way, as Georgia joked that they could be the ‘next Steps’.
“Oh my God, if they are doing dance moves then bloody hell,” she laughed.
“It would be amazing TV, Wes will be doing that salsa thing – he will just be dancing.”
