Love Island 2019 star Sherif Lanre has dropped a massive hint that he’s jetting off on holiday with his mates after leaving the villa yesterday.
The chef and semi-pro rugby player, 20, got booted out for “breaking the rules” and now a post on social media suggests he’s planning to get away from the spotlight.
Shortly after he left the show, a post appeared on his Instagram stories that indicates that he’s off on a lads holiday to Croatia.
Under a photo of himself from a news report about his Love Island exit there is a meme that reads: “Looks like Makarska’s back on the menu boys.”
Makarska is a seaside region in Croatia, known for its beaches and nightlife.
In another Instagram post, which has since been deleted, whoever is handling Sherif’s account wrote: “So sadly Sherif has left the villa.
“It’s uncear why at the moment but hopefully we will be able to update ASAP.
“But he will still be appearing on our screens tonight. Everyone on endz [sic] is beyond proud and excited to have him home.”
It’s believed his social media is still being run by pals in the aftermath of his Love Island axe.
Sherif exited the Love Island villa on Tuesday under a cloud of uncertainty, admitting he “mutually agreed” to leave the ITV2 show after conversations with producers.
He issued a statement following his removal, in which he apologised for his actions but has kept radio silence since then..
After leaving the villa, Sherif admitted: “In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.
“I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.”
If his Instagram story is to be believed, then it looks like he will be doing his reflecting under the summer sun in Croatia, surrounded by his mates.
*Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
