Love Island’s Chris had viewers in tears on Monday as he got emotional after being saved from going home by his fellow islanders.
The newbie and his partner Harley were voted one of the least popular couples by the public, but given a lifeline by their pals as they opted to send home Michael and Francesca instead.
And Chris was so touched by their gesture that he couldn’t hold back his emotions, starting to sob in the bedroom as Curtis comforted him.
“I just wanna check that you are actually alright,” Curtis said.
“Yeah, I’m fine mate,” a pained looking Chris replied. “It’s just hard to say without crying”.
He added: “Honestly, I’m fine. It’s good tears.”
Chris then went on to admit the heartbreaking reason that being saved had affected him.
“I’ve never felt like I’ve ever fitted in,” he explained.
To which Curtis touchingly assured him that he fitted in “better than anyone else in the villa”.
“My heart is breaking watching Chris cry about never fitting in #loveisland ,” one viewer wrote.
While another added: “Aww it’s so sad seeing Chris cry I acc love him so much #loveisland “.
A third chipped in: “Seeing chris cry makes my heart ache, everyone loves you 🙁 #LoveIsland “.
