Officers, including firearms officers, attended the E10 location, and found one man, believed to be aged in his late 20s, suffering from a gunshot injury.

The Met said that despite the efforts of officers and the London Ambulance Service (LAS), the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next-of-kin are yet to be informed, as formal identification has not has yet taken place.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course, cops said.

A second man, also aged in his 20s, is being treated at an east London hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command has been informed.

A crime scene remains in place and roads are currently closed.

It’s the second fatal shooting in London in two days, after a man was killed in Wembley on Friday.

A murder investigation is underway after armed police and local officers attended reports of a shooting at Harrow Road (HA9) at 8.10pm on July 5.

They found a man, believed to be aged in his 30s, suffering from critical gunshot injuries.

The victim was taken to a north London hospital but died a short while later.

His next-of-kin have now been informed, said the Met Police.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command will be investigating in close partnership with police in Brent.

No arrests have been made, and while enquiries continue local residents “can expect an enhanced police presence in the area”, the Met said.
