When Kate Middleton married Prince William, both 38, she became a working royal. Since then, the couple have regularly carried out official royal duties. A body language expert explained how Kate may be taking on more engagements.
While he has more experience in the Royal Family, Kate has become confident in her position.
It is thought Kate and Prince William have taken on more duties over the last year.
When they have been seen out in the past, they have mostly shared the workload, according to body language expert Judi James.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, she commented: “Prince William and Kate have always role-shared.
“Like a lot of couples that work together, they seem to take it in turns when it comes to taking the lead.”
Over the years, the expert suggested they have supported each other with their work.
However, the Duchess of Cambridge may have started to take on more work by herself.
During the coronavirus lockdown, she made virtual visits using video both by herself and with her husband.
“But she has recently stepped up to take over the reins.”
While the Duchess may be taking on more duties by herself, Prince William has also been engaging in more solo outings.
Judi said: “William has been seeming to enjoy the spotlight more recently with his work on mental health in sport and so we can see him leading conversations again more on visits.”
