James Haskell is set to be a nightmare campmate on I’m A Celebrity as wife Chloe Madeley says living with him is like being with “an angry teething terrible twos child”.
Former England rugby union star Haskell, 34, jetted into Australia on Monday and insisted “I am like marmite – you either love me or hate me”.
He was interviewed by his wife for her Bodcast fitness podcast where she told how he snores and is used to eating six meals a day.
On their relationship, Haskell said: “We argue like cats and dogs all the time but we have a great relationship.
“My favourite argument was when we were arguing and I lost my s*** and you had a cup of tea in your hand and I walked over and took the tea and threw it on the floor. It was such a ridiculous thing to do.”
Chloe added: “James is a complete psychopath, threw the cup of the tea on the floor and it shattered. It went everywhere, every room in the house this cup found its way into, and then he left the house for like a day.
“So I had to tidy up his outburst. Sometimes living with James is like living with an angry teething terrible twos child.”
James Haskell responded: “I thought we said a small good looking volcano. Every couple argue if they tell you they don’t they are either not in love or they are talking rubbish.
“It is because you are quite a difficult person. You want to talk everything out. You want to educate.
“That is what stresses it out. I wanted to get a tazer or put you in a choke hold.”
The podcast went out in December last year and despite threatening to hurt Chloe, the pair also married last year and have been dating since 2014.
Haskell admitted he will find it tough in camp without his wife, who is the daughter of TV stars Richard & Judy.
He said: “I have a fantastic relationship with them (Richard & Judy) and they are very supportive. They are massive fans of the show and they will be out in Australia.”
He added: “Chloe, my wife, thinks it is fantastic too. She is really excited and I think she will love it. But I will miss her a lot. We have been inseparable for five years and we speak two to three times a day.”
“It will be a massive change (not being able to chat to her) and I think I will end up talking about her a lot.”
