Hollyoaks airs a special three-hander episode on Thursday night, paving the way for Cleo McQueen’s exit from the soap.
After spotting a devastated Mitchell with Scott after he was left injured in an accident in the village, Cleo speculated something was going on between them.
But she’s left stunned and devastated when she realises exactly what has been going on, following Mitchell’s fling with Scott’s drag alter-ego Anita.
In an clip exclusively given to Mirror Online ahead of the big three-hander episode, cast members Nadine Mulkerrin and Imran Adams, who play the characters, feature in incredibly moving scenes as the truth comes out.
As Cleo tries to get her head around her supposedly straight partner cheating on her with a man, her pal Scott, he drops a further bombshell.
He refers to his fling as “her”, leaving Cleo initially confused before realising he means Anita.
Mitchell, who is clearly confused about his feelings, believes he can’t be gay because Anita is a “she”.
With Mitchell separating Scott and Anita as separate people, he insists he “isn’t gay” and that what he had with Anita “wasn’t real”.
A devastated and shocked Cleo breaks down, and remains speechless as she tries confront him over his claims.
Unable to understand Mitchell’s fling with Anita, and his other woman being a drag queen, Cleo storms back into the hospital.
Cleo will make Mitchell choose between her and Scott, with him no doubt having to decide whether he has feelings for Scott or just his drag alter-ego Anita.
With Mitchell still figuring out his sexuality, viewers will have to stay tuned to see whether things will work out for him and Scott.
Cleo, meanwhile, will depart in the special episode with actress Nadine currently on maternity leave.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
