Hollyoaks has confirmed there’ll be a shock blaze early next year as the soap brings back its spin-off Hollyoaks Later – with show producers dropping hints it could be the end of Breda McQueen.
The official Hollyoaks Twitter account shared a short clip showing a preview for the spin-off – confirming there’ll be a fire in January 2020.
The tweet teases that actress Moya Brady (Breda McQueen) is related to the blaze as the photo shows teddies which Moya’s character gave to the children of the dads she killed each time she committed a murder.
It hints at her exit from the show as Hollyoaks have already confirmed fans of the soap will see the end of her killer reign sometime soon.
Breda has previously concealed murdering Louis Loveday, Russ Owen and Mac Nightingale, but a recent mistake has daughter Goldie (Chelsee Healey) thinking she killed Harry Thompson by accident.
Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) is the only person who knows the truth about Breda brutally murdering Harry, although she’s currently holding him hostage at her pig farm.
The drama is set to heat up after the Christmas period, when all of serial killer Breda’s secrets finally catch up with her in one intense special episode.
Moya herself has teased a “full on” Hollyoaks Later that will rival a Quentin Tarantino movie.
She promised viewers can expect the Channel 4 soap to “push boundaries”.
Speaking amid the Who Shot Mercedes? storyline that will begin next week, with Breda being a suspect, Moya teased fans would not want to miss the return of the series – which will be a one-off special episode this time around.
The series is known for being much gorier and explicit than the normal soap in the earlier time slot.
The confirmation of the fire and hint that Breda is linked will leave fans guessing – whether it will occur at the McQueen house, the pub or most likely at the pig farm hasn’t yet been revealed.
*Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
