This Morning viewers were convinced they were ‘hallucinating’ after the magical start to today’s Halloween show.
The normal titles were interrupted when Holly Willoughby’s taxi was picked up by a tornado and she was sent crashing down into the studio.
Holly fell on top of the Wicked Witch of the East – killing her in the process – before stepping out in her ruby red slippers.
The much-loved presenter, who looked stunning in her brown wig, said: “Oh my goodness. I’ve got a feeling we;re not on this Morning anymore.”
She then stumbled across a scarecrow hanging up, which turned out to be none other than Phillip Schofield.
Phillip said: “Pa-pardon me. That way is a nice way to go. It’s pleasant down that way as well. But of course people do go both ways.”
Holly said she would help Phil find his brain, before he burst into a rendition of “If I Only Had A Brain’.
They were also joined by agony aunt Deirdre Roberts, as the good witch Glinda, while Dr Ranj played the Mayor of Munchkin Land.
Baffled This Morning viewers took to Twitter after watching the spellbinding opening to the show.
One viewer asked: “WHAT. IS. HAPPENING. ON #ThisMorning?!!!!”
“What the actual f is happening on #ThisMorning,” added another.
A third said: “Thought I was hallucinating for one moment”
This Morning viewers thought the presenters both looked sensational in their outfits.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Wow holly and phil look AMAZING”
“I LOVE HOLLY AND PHIL,” added another.
A third said: “I enjoyed that so much more than what I should have done”
Phillip had to wake up at 4.30am to make sure he was in the dressing room ahead of a very long day at work.
The host was in the chair at 6.42am to start on his prosthetics – and looked slightly concerned while a crew member cut his t-shirt up.
But it was definitely worth it as the team did a good job as Phil looked just like an actual scarecrow.
Phillip and Holly were also joined by a loyal companion for their Halloween adventure down the yellow brick road.
Mikey the terrier played the role of Toto after beating hundreds of dogs in the show’s search for Dorothy’s pet pooch.
He managed to defeat fan favourite Peewee during an impressive performance in Wednesday’s grand final.
