ARSENAL boss Unai Emery could be priced out of bringing Thomas Meunier to North London, because of the Belgian’s £30million-plus-bonuses price tag.
That is despite reports he has had talks with Unai Emery over a transfer to the Gunners.
According to French radio station RMC, the player dreams of playing for Manchester United.
And the Red Devils are in need of a new right back, with Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan Bissaka their chief target.
But, RMC claim Arsenal are looking for a left-sided centre back and a left back ahead of a right back.
The club are unlikely to break the bank for Meunier, after missing out on Champions League football once again — and have to think about using their resources wisely.
It could leave United the only major suitors for the former Club Brugge man.
He had injury problems towards the end of the season — after picking up a knee issue — but his recent outings for his country suggest those issues are over.
Meunier has one year left on his contract at Paris Saint-Germain and has not been offered a new deal.
Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur previously revealed Emery had been in touch “a few times” in order to get him in.
The pair previously worked together at the Parc des Princes, before Spaniard Emery joined Arsenal last summer.
