EastEnders legend Phil Mitchell makes his way back to Walford next week, after his brutal attack just weeks ago when he was left for dead.
Fans know that Stacey Fowler hit Phil over the head, but only Kat Moon, Martin Fowler and Phil’s son Ben Mitchell know this, with them there at the time.
Ben framed Keanu Taylor for the crime, leading to him and pregnant fiancée Louise, Phil’s daughter, fleeing Walford.
Next week, Phil wants the truth as he searches for his daughter – with it clear he isn’t buying the story about Keanu being his attacker.
Ben throws his dad a welcome home party, but he’s got more on his mind and has some huge questions for his son.
When alone, he confronts him about an argument he overheard at the hospital when he was waking from his coma.
Jay Brown had stopped Ben from killing his dad, as he tried to stop his oxygen flow – afterwards Ben felt guilty, with Jay trying to stop him spilling the beans.
Ben had also broken down as he told Jay how Phil didn’t love him and that he felt as though he didn’t exist, unaware Phil was waking up.
Now it’s clear he heard some of the commotion, as he asks Ben about what went on with Ben denying any row took place.
Fearing his dad will rumble the truth he races to warn Jay, only for Phil to get there first and he asks him what went down – but will Jay tell the truth?
Later on in the week, Ben enlists the help of Callum in a bid to track down missing sister Louise, unaware Phil is still searching for answers about his attack.
Phil is getting closer to the truth it seems, and not before long Phil heads to Kat’s house to confront her – and the pictures look tense.
Ben is also confronted yet again about the attack, but will either of them crumble and spill the beans, and what will it mean for them?
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
