Ted Murray left EastEnders this evening with new love interest as he decided to go travelling.
Throughout the episode Ted was to-ing and fro-ing about whether to venture out of Walford with Sheree Trueman’s mum Wanda.
In the end, he decided to pack his bags and play one last game of chess with Bernie.
He jumped into the black cab with Wanda and waved goodbye to all of his friends.
After hugging all of his pals, there were some tears as Wanda told him that the “world awaits” them.
EastEnders confirmed that actor Christopher Timothy had left the soap after his exit scenes tonight.
A BBC spokesperson told Mirror Online: “We wish Christopher all the very best for the future.”
Ted first appeared on the soap in 2017 with wife Joyce, who died a year later in her sleep.
Most of Ted’s storylines have centred around his sweet friendship with Bernadette Taylor.
The pair bonded over their love of chess and helped her take part in the tournament.
