Tense times are ahead for Coronation Street ‘s Evelyn Plummer, Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs – but who is in trouble and what have they done?
New filming pictures taken today tease the family’s latest problems, with a mystery court case twist.
The trio are set to be embroiled in a dramatic run-in with the law in an upcoming storyline, scheduled to air in 2020.
The newly-released snaps show a worried-looking Eveleyn ( Maureen Lipman ), closely followed by clearly-stressed couple Fiz ( Jennie ) and Tyrone (Alan).
Alongside actors Maureen, 73, Jennie, 35, and Alan, 37, is the local lawyer Imran Habeeb, played by Charlie de Melo.
The lawyer may have been brought on board to provide legal assistance to the person facing potential jail time.
Currently it’s unclear whether Evelyn is in court because of her own trouble with the law, or whether it has something to do with Tyrone or Fiz.
Some reports have speculated that Evelyn is the one who has broken the law again.
Maureen’s character is no stranger to the police, after she was arrested in France just a few months ago.
But luckily her grandson Tyrone was on hand to bail her out and bring her back to Weatherfield.
The family recently welcomed babysitter Jade into Mahe household to care for Fiz’s daughter Hope and Tyrone’s daughter Ruby.
Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted several clues that Jade isn’t all she seems and upcoming episodes are set to reveal more unusual behaviour from her.
Viewers have speculated that she is a relative of Fiz’s late husband John Stape, who turned into a serial killer before his own death in 2011.
Jade’s mysterious ulterior motive is set to be revealed over the upcoming festive period.
Meanwhile Fiz is currently battle Hope’s rebellious behaviour while hiding the secret Hope was responsible for the recent factory fire in Underworld.
She was sent to a special school in Birmingham but doesn’t appear to have changed her ways, causing more stress for the family.
The scenes are currently shrouded in mystery but Jennie previously hinted at the troubling times ahead.
She has promised a dramatic Christmas for Fiz, hinted there are going to be some major shocks, but refused to say if someone is getting killed off.
Maureen told Metro that the storyline under the Dobbs roof would be centering around troublesome Jade.
Viewers have been speculating about Jade’s intentions towards the Corrie couple but fans will just have to wait and see who is responsible for them ending up in court alongside Eveleyn.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
