Hire a babysitter/au pair/childminder

During term time, childminders and babysitters can provide a huge amount of help for children.

Some registered childminders will continue to work over the summer holidays.

If you already use a childminder, they might be willing to keep to your normal arrangements which means you will not have to make any special plans.

For those unable to rely on family members or a childminder, a specific au pair or holiday nanny can be hired.

Au pairs typically come to your home and can be employed for a fixed duration such as the six-week school holiday.
