DANNY Dyer looked unimpressed as British Soap Awards’ host Phillip Schofield cracked a joke about him live on air tonight.

Introducing various members of the audience, Phillip said: “We have also been joined by Danny Dyer who I have been told is a big fan of the trim down south.”

Danny Dyer looked very unimpressed as Phillip Schofield cracked a joke about him

He was playing on the fact that Corrie’s David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) owns a salon called Trim Up North.

But Danny failed to crack a smile at the awkward gag as Phillip moved swiftly on.

Those watching at home noticed he didn’t appeared very happy about the comment and took to Twitter to comment on it.

One person wrote: “Don’t think Danny Dyer found @Schofe very funny on the @SoapAwards #SoapAwards #soapawards2019 the look of disgust on his face!! Priceless.”

Another tweeted: “Danny Dyer is a miserable sod #SoapAwards.”

Phillip found it very funny – as Danny didn’t crack a smile

While some speculated that he would rather be watching the football match.

“Think Danny Dyer would rather be watching the footie#SoapAwards,” wrote one.

Someone else added: “Danny Dyer looks p****d off….  Rather be watching the footie? Lol  #dannydyer #danny #SoapAwards”

The actor – who plays Mick Carter on the soap – is going up against Corrie’s Jack P Shepherd (David) and Emmerdale’s Jef f Hordley (Cain) for the Best Actor gong.

Hardman Danny is known for swearing  during live awards show – and back in January Dermot O’Leary was forced to apologise for him at the NTAs.

Danny turned to the person next to him after the joke was made

As he picked up his award, he said: “I’m getting all f***ing emotional, I don’t know what’s the matter with me, for f***’s sake.”

Last month he swore on air again when he was presenting the Must See TV moment of the year at the BAFTAs and joked he should have been nominated for the memorable moment he called former Prime Minister David Cameron a “t***”.

He was appearing on Good Evening Britain when he went on a rant about Brexit and Cameron calling the referendum and then resigning when the result came in.

Standing next to Holly Willoughby at tonight’s ceremony, he said: “Am I one of them? Then no.

“I should have been nominated for calling Cameron a t***, but we’ll let it go.”
