She married Chandler Powell in a last-minute wedding at Australia Zoo in March.

And on Friday, Bindi Irwin gushed over her husband as she shared an adorable photo to Instagram of the couple posing with a lizard.

The conservationist, 21, posted a picture of the lovebirds smiling while former professional wakeboarder Chandler held up a blue-tongued lizard.

‘Every day you make me smile. I love you so much,’ she captioned the photo. 

In the photo, Bindi wore her signature khaki uniform and green jacket. Meanwhile, Chandler’s wedding band was visible as he clutched the reptile.

Bindi and Chandler raced down the aisle just hours before Prime Minister Scott Morrison enforced restrictions on weddings during the coronavirus pandemic on March 25.

She recently blasted Australia’s major TV networks for ruining her ‘dream wedding’.

She claimed news helicopters flying overhead had forced the couple to change the venue from the ‘African savannah’ section of Australia Zoo to a nearby barn. 

‘This isn’t the fairytale image capturing the “perfect” wedding day feeling. In fact, it’s quite the opposite,’ she wrote on Instagram.

Bindi explained she and Chandler had hoped to say ‘I do’ in the African savannah, but things didn’t go to plan when someone tipped off the media.

‘On our wedding day we were finally about to get married and the paparazzi flew over us in a helicopter scaring our wildlife,’ she wrote.

‘We had to leave our stunning wedding venue on the African savannah for their safety. I said goodbye to the place I had dreamed of getting married for so many years,’ she added. 

She met Chandler, who originally hails from Florida, in 2013 while giving him a tour of Australia Zoo.

The pair became engaged on the grounds of the zoo on her 21st birthday in July 2019.

Chandler now works with Bindi and her family at the Sunshine Coast tourist attraction.
