Lionel Messi pleads
Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
It’s claimed Messi personally contacted his Argentine compatriot to convince him to join the Catalan giants.
Martinez, 22, scored nine times in 35 appearances for Inter during the 2018-19 season – and has already notched three goals in the current campaign.
Reports in Spain suggest Messi phoned Martinez to discuss a move to Barcelona in the January transfer window.
Donyell Malen race
Barcelona want to bring Donyell Malen to the Nou Camp.
Malen was sold by Arsenal for £200k in 2017 to PSV, where he’s scored 27 goals in 64 appearances and earned two international appearances for Holland.
Premier League trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton have all been credited with interest.
However, Spanish publication AS claim Barcelona are determined to sign the PSV forward and could launch a bid in January.
Kai Havertz to Barcelona
Barcelona are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen’s £90m-rated Kai Havertz.
Havertz, 20, scored an incredible 20 goals in 42 appearances last campaign with a further seven assists to boot.
His exploits have earned him six international appearances for Germany and plenty of interest from a number of European heavyweights including Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
German newspaper Sport Bild claim Barcelona didn’t bother sending scouts to watch him in action against Argentina on Wednesday because they’ve decided he’s good enough already.
