It’s getting colder, but a new season is a moment of joy for fashion lovers as it means one thing — new designs.

Earlier this week, budget retailer Target just dropped their new Preview range, a collection of “timeless” winter warmers designed to take you from work to evening.

While many of the pieces are stunning — especially for their reasonable prices — a $49 skirt has captured the attention of a few Australian fashion bloggers, and we’re predicting it’s going to be the orange polka-dot dress of this season.

The navy pleated midi skirt has a detailed trim, adding bold blocks of pale pink, blue and white.

As well as being a flattering midi length, the skirt also has an elasticated waistband, making it as comfortable as it is pretty.

Since the collection launched earlier this week, it has already made several chic-looking appearances on Instagram.

Chelsea Thomas, from fashion fan page I Heart Bargains, shared a photo of herself rocking the skirt with a grey jumper and white sneakers.

“Would you believe me if I said I scored this whole outfit for $94? Wearing head-to-toe, brand new @targetaus range — pleated midi skirt ($49), V-neck jumper in Skye Marle ($25) and platform sneakers ($20),” she wrote.

Popular blogger Tina Abeysekara, from Trash To Treasured, has also been raving about the wardrobe item to her 67,000 followers.

“Absolutely love the fit (size 10), cool print detail and high swish factor — oh, and the $49 price tag,” she wrote.

The mastermind behind Curvy Sam, a blog dedicated to plus-size fashion, said she was “pleasantly surprised” by the skirt, as she felt Target previously lacked plus-size options.

“The skirt is fab! I’m wearing the size 18, and I sized down because the waist is elastic,” she said.

The response from the ladies’ fans has been pretty enthusiastic about the skirt too, calling it “killer”.

“That skirt looks soooo good,” someone commented.

“Love the skirt,” another person wrote, while a second added: “The skirt is killer!!”

Someone else said: “That skirt is divine! I’m going to have to check out @targetaus.”

Last week a $59 dress from Target went viral after several influencers shared their love for it.

News.com.au also revealed last week how the midi skirt was the trend for the Australian winter season, with affordable fashion label Glassons offering a $40 satin design people were snapping up.
