AS ANY married woman knows, the final days before your wedding can be extremely stressful.
But one task most brides-to-be don’t have to worry about is giving their future grandmother-in-law a sneak-peek of their wedding dress.

Of course, most of us won’t be marrying into royalty – so the rules are a little different for Meghan Markle, who’s getting hitched to Prince Harry, 33, on Saturday May 19.
The 36-year-old former Suits actress is expected to give The Queen a sneak-peek of her gown ahead of the big day – following in the footsteps of Kate Middleton and Autumn Kelly before her, because it has get her approval.
Speaking on Lorraine, The Sun’s royal correspondent Emily Andrews revealed: “The Queen is also going to see a sneak-peek of Meghan’s dress because she has to approve it beforehand.”
Meghan’s dress is rumoured to be an £100,000 number by Ralph & Russo, the designers responsible for her stunning black engagement shoot dress, according to the Daily Mail.

And ICYMI on @GMA:
Sources confirm that Meghan’s wedding dress is finished and safely hidden at Windsor Castle until the big day.
Just one person left to see it – the Queen. Meghan will privately show the gown to HM later this week (just like Kate did before she married William).

According to US Weekly’s Omid Scobie, it’s already “safely hidden” at Windsor Castle – and the Queen will get a private viewing with Meghan “later this week”.
Another royal expert, Emily Nash, said it was a “nice courtesy” to clear the gown with Her Maj, while speaking on the On Heir podcast this week.
“We understand that this is royal tradition,” she said.
“I know that brides like Autumn Kelly, who married Peter Phillips, did do that and it’s just a nice courtesy to show it to Her Majesty before the big day.”

Given that the Queen had to give her approval for the wedding to take place at all, a private dress viewing doesn’t seem too outrageous.
Meghan’s expected to opt for a more modern dress than previous royal brides, so let’s just hope the Queen approves.
