RAPPER ASAP Bari has appeared in court charged with sexual assault after a video showing him allegedly slapping a woman’s bottom in a London hotel was posted online.
The US artist was arrested at Heathrow Airport while transferring to a South Africa-bound flight in May and later charged.

He is claimed to have slapped the alleged victim on the backside at a hotel in Shoreditch, East London, on July 10 last year.
Appearing under his real name Jabari Shelton at Wood Green Crown Court today, he denied two charges of sexual assault.
Defending, Gideon Cammerman QC told the court the rapper also faces a $1 million lawsuit over the incident in the US.
He said: “This is made up for the purpose of improving the chance of success in a civil action in the United States for $1million.

“The complainant filed it two days before she made her witness statement to the Metropolitan police in the UK.’
“What was on the video was an alleged slap to the bottom.”
Mr Cammerman said the rapper was ‘extremely keen’ to contest the charges.
At least four witnesses will be travelling from the US for the trial on January 2 next year.
