VICTORIA Beckham is now known for her impeccable style, but even she breaks fashion rules from time to time.

The Spice Girl flouted a strict London dress code during Fashion Week that was sent out to style editors attending a strict members-only club.

The invitation was for Victoria Beckham presentation at Mayfair’s Mark’s Club, which is described as an “elegant and traditional private club”.

The elite club lists its banned clothing items on the website as “light denim, sportswear, cowboy boots, leggings, and t-shirts.”

Although the intimate event didn’t allow for “ripped denim” or trainers, this was exactly what Victoria, 43, opted to wear – along with a slogan tee.

Her t-shirt had the words “it’s a dark but happy place” across the front, which is a nod to her love of wearing sunglasses.

She wrote on her Instagram: “You could say I’m slightly obsessed with sunglasses?! Wearing glasses all the time, I like to say I’m in a dark but happy place.”

Her collection at the club included cool and casual pieces, compared to her chic, polished mainline.

Highlights of the range included oversized denim shirts, blanket coats and tailored trousers, along with her personal favourite outfit from the show, a sky-blue jumbo cord trouser suit.
